About Me
I am a licensed mental health clinician (LMHC) with over 25 yrs experience in treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and interpersonal difficulties. I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany and my graduate degree in Psychology, with a specialization in addictions from Sage Graduate School.
I spent many years working at a premier inpatient psychiatric facility where I gained extensive experience providing individual, group and family psychotherapy as well as training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have served as a DBT consultant for other clinicians as well as provided administrative and clinical oversight for inpatient and forensic settings for the Office of Mental Health, while implementing treatment interventions for treatment resistant populations.
Services I Offer

Eating Disorder Assessment and Treatment
Specializes in assessment and treatment of Eating Disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating and ARFID.
I have 25 yrs experience working with various populations that struggle with disordered eating. My experience covers inpatient and outpatient treatment interventions as well as consulting with families on how to obtain various levels of care.

Family Therapy/Couples Counseling
My philosophy includes the use of family to strengthen the clients well being for most treatment with children and adolescents. Family Based Treatment (FBT) is an integral part of treatment for those struggling with an eating disorder. I often provide "family consultation" to assist families in intervention for their loved ones who are struggling with an eating disorder, addiction or mental health issue.

Depression and Anxiety
Cognitive behavioral interventions to assist clients in changing negative or destructive thought patterns. Supportive counseling and trauma centered approach for clients experiencing loss, grief or trauma.

DBT Specialty Treatment Interventions
Use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to change negative thinking patterns into positive behavioral changes
